You're excellent at what you do. Nobody can find you.

You trained for years in a specialty most therapists don't touch. You're the person someone in your city has been looking for, sometimes for a decade, without knowing you exist.

When they search, they find a national treatment center with a marketing budget and a practice two towns over with a better website. Not a better therapist. A better website.

Why this happens

Search doesn't reward description, it rewards specificity.

A page saying "I treat anxiety, depression, and life transitions" competes with every therapist in the country. A page about OCD treatment in your city, written for the person who has it, competes with almost nobody.

The gap is rarely effort or budget. It's that nobody ever told you which four or five things actually move the needle, so the site got built the way therapy websites usually get built.

What I do

I work with solo private practices. Usually one clinician, usually private pay, usually someone with a real specialty who is tired of being invisible for it. In practice that means therapist website design and the local search work that decides whether anyone ever reaches it.

  • Pages for the conditions you actually treat.Written the way a person describes the problem before they know the clinical name for it, and targeted at your city.
  • Local search setup.Google Business Profile, directory listings, and the details that decide whether you appear on the map at all. Usually the highest-impact thing, and usually missing entirely.
  • The words on your existing pages.Titles, descriptions, and copy that reads like you rather than like a brochure.
  • An email list that runs itself.Something worth downloading, a form that captures it, and a welcome sequence that goes out automatically. Written once. No monthly writing.

Every project is a fixed scope with a fixed price and a defined end. No retainers, no monthly commitment, no being locked into an agency relationship you can't leave.

Who I work with

Grace Stirling Therapy — Santa Barbara

Private practice specialising in OCD and eating disorders.

I built her website, and I'm currently working with her on the search side: keyword research, a rewritten site structure, page titles and descriptions across the practice, and specialty pages for the conditions she treats. That work is ongoing.

Questions I usually get

“I’m full. Why would I need this?”

Then this is the wrong time, and I’d rather say so. It becomes useful when you want to change who is on your caseload rather than how many — for most people, fewer insurance clients and more of the work they actually trained for.

“Isn’t SEO mostly a scam?”

A lot of it is. The version sold to small practices usually means monthly retainers, vague reporting, and content nobody reads. What I do is a fixed list of specific things: the pages you’re missing, the listings that are wrong, and the profile you don’t have. You could do most of it yourself with a weekend and this document.

“I don’t have time for this.”

The audit needs about twenty minutes from you. A full project needs a few hours across several weeks, mostly reviewing things I’ve drafted. If a project needs you to write, I’ve scoped it wrong.

“Is any of this a problem with client confidentiality?”

No. Nothing I do touches client data, records, or your practice management system. It’s your public-facing website and your public directory listings.

“What if I don’t like it?”

The audit is a document. You read it and decide. There’s nothing to cancel and no ongoing commitment to leave.

Start with an audit

Before anyone commits to a project, I look at where the practice actually stands. One document, one week, and you keep it whether or not we work together again.

Practice Visibility Audit

$400

One document, delivered in one week.

  • Where you actually rank for your specialty and your city, and who holds those spots instead
  • Whether your Google Business Profile exists, is claimed, and is correct
  • Your phone, address, and name checked across every directory that lists you
  • Page titles, descriptions, headings, and whether any page targets a condition
  • The specialties you treat that have no page, and what people near you are searching for
  • Everything above, ranked by what it will actually do for you, with costs

At most practice rates, one new client covers it in two or three sessions.

If you go ahead with a larger project afterwards, the $400 comes off your first payment.

What I don't do

Social media management. Paid ads. Anything that needs you to post three times a week or be the face of a brand.

Most therapists I talk to don't want to be visible personally. They want the right people to find the practice. Those are different problems, and I only work on the second one.

I also won't take on a direct competitor while we're working together. If you're an OCD specialist in Boulder, I'm not building a site for another OCD specialist in Boulder. It's written into the agreement.

How it works

  • A short call.Twenty minutes. I ask what you want the practice to look like in a year, you decide whether you want to keep talking.
  • The audit. One week, $400. You get a document that's useful whether or not you hire me again.
  • A plan, if you want one.Fixed scope, fixed price, paid across milestones as things get delivered.

Start with a short call

Tell me a little about your practice and I'll email you to find a time. The call is free. If an audit makes sense after it, that's $400 and one week.
